Laboratory testing against most sold 4 toothbrushes in Europe

Test 1: Determination of amount of bacteria remaining (confindential unpublished information)

In this test, we investigated in the laboratory how efficient are the bristles of the PlanetBrush versus the bristles of the most sold 3 toothbrushes in Europe (Oral B Indicator, Jordan toothbrush, Colgate bamboo toothbrush, and PlanetBrush from DentPlanet.

Brands investigated: Oral B, Jordan, Colgate and DentPlanet

Results:

No significant difference was detected between the amount of bacteria remaining on PlanetBrush and the other brands. This means that the brushing quality of the PlanetBrush is equal to other famous brands.

Test 2: Determination of phynotypic changes in the oral bacteria resulting from tooth brushing (Confidential, unpublished information)

From test 1, we were sure that the brushing quality of PlanetBrush is the same as other famous brands. The next experiment phase is to test the effect of the bristles on the microbial ecology (the effect of toothbrush bristles on the balance of the normal oral flora). In this sophisticated test, we investigated in the laboratory which bristles are the safest for the oral microbiota. In other words, how safe are the bristles in preserving the beneficial bacterial balance in the oral cavity after long-term brushing?

Brands investigated: Oral B, Jordan, Colgate, and DentPlanet

C: Colgate

D: DentPlanet

J: Jordan

O: Oral B

Results:

PlanetBrush had the least phenotypic fingerprint, meaning that it is the safest in the long term to commensal bacteria in the oral cavity.

Validating the concept (confidential, unpublished experiment)

Test 1: Testing the integrity of the bamboo handle with a hole

In this test, an experimental highly-resistant bamboo PlanetBrush with a hole is subjected to tooth brushing for 3 months to nullify the possibility of mold growth in the hole during the 3-month intra-oral use.

Test duration: 3 months

Test frequency: 2 times/day

Test condition: Normal bathroom brushing conditions

Result: The handle with the hole did not show any mold formation during the specified mold formation.

Test 2: Testing the ability of a plant seed to grow within the hole

In this test, several plant seeds were in-planted with the new toothbrush design.

Test duration: 20 days

Result:

Seed showed successful growth
